FUNCTIONAL FOOD:
Functional food is defined as foods that have been fortified with bioactive compounds or ingredients that have essential benefits that makes our body healthy. They contain bioactive compounds that contribute to the well-being and health of individuals. The key characteristic of functional foods is their potential to help prevent disease and enhance health, rather than merely providing essential nutrients. Certain examples of functional foods are Probiotic yogurt; omega -3 enriched foods; fiber rich foods and antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables.
PROBIOTIC YOGURT:
It Supports gut health and immunity that Aids digestion and reduces bloating. It also boosts energy and mental clarity. Yogurt is also rich in protein and calcium. It promotes healthy weight management and also improves skin and hair health yogurt also helps reduce symptoms of IBS.
