INTRODUCTION :
Climate change poses a significant threat to global food security and sustainable development. Rising temperatures, changing precipitation patterns, and increased frequency of extreme weather events impact agricultural productivity and livelihoods. Climate resilient agriculture offers a solution, enhancing agricultural productivity while adapting to climate change. This approach integrates climate-smart practices, sustainable production, and ecosystem management to build resilience. By adopting climate resilient agriculture, we can ensure a food-secure future and support vibrant rural communities.

ADAPTATION STRATEGIES :
Implementing climate – smart practices to reduce vulnerability to climate change. Soil Conservation is Implementing conservation tillage, cover crops, and organic amendments to enhance soil health and fertility.Water Harvesting Collecting and storing rainwater for irrigation, reducing dependence on groundwater and increasing water efficiency.Climate-Smart Crops is Planting crop varieties tolerant of changing weather conditions, such as drought-tolerant maize or flood-tolerant rice.Agroforestry Integrating trees into agricultural landscapes to provide shade, improve soil health, and reduce erosion.Integrated Pest Management Using a combination of techniques to manage pests and diseases, reducing chemical use and enhancing ecosystem services.

SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION :
Enhancing agricultural productivity while maintaining ecosystem service and biodiversity.
