About This Event
As part of the DHR–ICMR-supported workshop on "Genome to Drug" organized by Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA), 25 participants visited BRIC–Institute of Life Sciences (BRIC-ILS) on 3rd–4th July 2026 for an immersive hands-on training experience.
During the two-day visit, participants gained practical exposure to microbial and cell culture-based translational research approaches, guided by the laboratories of Dr. Tushar Kant Beuria and Dr. Shantibhusan Senapati. The sessions covered advanced experimental techniques and translational research methodologies, bridging the gap between fundamental genomic insights and drug discovery applications.
Such collaborative training initiatives are vital in equipping the next generation of researchers with the practical skills needed to translate genomic discoveries into therapeutic solutions.
Grateful to DHR–ICMR and SOA for facilitating this valuable learning opportunity, and to the BRIC-ILS labs for their generous mentorship and expertise.
