About This Event
The BRIC–Institute of Life Sciences community came together to celebrate International Women’s Day with the theme “Give To Gain”, highlighting the spirit of collaboration, respect, and shared growth.
The event began with a musical performance by Mr. B.M. Mishra and Mr. Debasis Das, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Debasis Dash, Director, BRIC-ILS, who emphasized the importance of inclusivity and mutual support in building a strong scientific community.
The celebration featured engaging panel discussions involving men faculty & staff, women faculty & staff, and women students/postdocs. These conversations reflected on workplace equity, opportunities, challenges, and the collective responsibility of creating a supportive environment for women in science and research.
The event concluded with remarks by Dr. Rajeeb Swain, reinforcing the message that progress is achieved when institutions foster respect, collaboration, and equal opportunities for all.
The gathering ended with informal interactions, strengthening the spirit of community and appreciation at ILS.
