Institute of Life Sciences is strongly committed to promote interest of general public and students toward science. ILS organizes popular lectures by eminent scientists and policy makers that are aimed at the public at large.  School and College students regularly visit ILS, and ILS scientists deliver lectures at various schools and colleges to familiarize students with advances in modern biology. We have also created programmes to train school and college students and their teachers. ILS has a purpose built science outreach centre where students and teachers of various schools and colleges can experience the fun of scientific experiments in a 3-4 day programme.
