Hands-on workshop on

Single Cell Transcriptomics with BCR/TCR profiling using 10x Genomics platform

August 28 to 31, 2023 ILS, Bhubaneswar

About Workshop

Join us for a comprehensive hands-on 4-day workshop on "Single Cell Transcriptomics with BCR/TCR Profiling using 10x Genomics Platform." This workshop, organized by the esteemed DBT – Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar, will provide participants with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the rapidly advancing field of single cell genomics.

Single cell genomics allows for the study of individual cells at an unprecedented resolution, unravelling the complex landscape of cellular heterogeneity. In this workshop, we will focus on the application of single cell transcriptomics coupled with TCR profiling, using the state-of-the-art 10x Genomics platform. Profiling TCRs provides valuable insights into the diversity, clonality, and dynamics of T cell populations, as well as their response to various diseases and immune challenges.

Workshop Highlights:
  1. Interactive Lectures:
    • Gain a comprehensive understanding of single cell genomics, transcriptomics and BCR/TCR profiling
    • Explore the principles, advantages and challenges of single cell transcriptomics
  2. Hands-on Practical Sessions:
    • Generate GEM (Gel Bead-In-EMulsion) from real samples
    • Perform laboratory protocols using the 10x Genomics platform
    • Perform techniques for preparing single cell gene expression and TCR libraries
  3. Data Analysis:
    • Acquire basic skills in data analysis for single cell transcriptomics
    • Learn how to interpret and visualize single cell genomics datasets
    • Explore bioinformatics tools and pipelines for data analysis
  4. Discussions and Q&A:
    • Engage in discussions with experienced instructors and fellow participants
    • Seek guidance on experimental design, troubleshooting, and best practices

Target Audience:

This comprehensive hands-on 4-day workshop is tailored for a wide range of participants, including:

  • PhD students and postdoctoral researchers seeking to incorporate single cell transcriptomics into their research projects.
  • Faculty members, scientists and doctors who are interested in expanding their knowledge and skills in single cell genomics, specifically in the context of transcriptomics and BCR/TCR profiling.
  • Industry professionals working in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and related fields who wish to leverage the power of single cell genomics for drug discovery, biomarker identification, and precision medicine.
