TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

A memorandum of agreement (MOA) was signed between National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), (An Enterprise of Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India) and Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar on 6th August 2014 for technology transfer and commercialization.
  1. A list of five technologies or new innovative process developed at Institute of life Sciences were forwarded to NRDC, Govt. India on 3rd July 2015  for including them in “National Technology Data Bank” to aid the “Make in India”

WORKSHOP/SYMPOSIUM ORGANIZED

Workshop on “Interfacing Innovation and IPR for Technology Commercialization” was organized at ILS on 21st March 2015. It was jointly organized by National Research Development Corporation, New Delhi, DSIR, Govt of India and Institute of Life Sciences. The aim of workshop was to sensitize the researchers, academicians, entrepreneurs and students to identify and protect intellectual property of their R&D result before publication. The participants included research scholars, scientists & senior faculties of universities. Speakers from NRDC, European business and technology centre, New Delhi, Dept of Commerce and Industry, Govt. India, KIIT school of Biotechnology, R & D unit of NALCO covered different topics related to patent filing procedures, concepts of inventive steps, novelty and issues and prospects related to technology commercialization.
