Training Research Fellows
The Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar admits Junior
Research Fellows having Masters degree in any
branch of Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology,
Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences who are
qualified in JRF-NET (CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR) examination. They
should have a clear idea about their research interest.
Although the appointment of JRF-NET is made
through advertisement in major news papers, the candidates
may also contact the faculty about availability of vacancy
in their laboratory.
Visiting Students/
Shot-term Training
The training is open to interested and motivated
pre-doctoral students comprising M.Sc. students of first and
second year in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology,
Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences. M.Sc.
second year students usually do their Masters project.
Individual
faculty members choose students to be accommodated in
their laboratory. Students should contact the respective
faculty for availability of space and vacancy. They must
come with a clear-cut idea about the project they wish
to pursue.
Postdoctoral Positions
The institute also has a post-doctoral (Research Associate) training
program. Post-doctoral fellow usually work with one of the
existing group. The fellowship is tenable for one to three
years. Appointment of Research Associate is made as and when
positions are available and is advertised in major
newspapers.
